This information is intended for compulsory school students, and their parents or guardians as an introduction to the courses on offer in Icelandic upper secondary schools. The main focus is a description of the programmes of study available.
Included is general information about secondary school courses, how enrolment is carried out, the national curriculum, and school curriculum. Also included is information about qualifying for education grants.
It is possible to look at most programmes of study and admission qualifications. Each school has information about its own activities and areas of speciality and their websites have further details and information which students and their parents and guardians are encouraged to familiarise themselves with.
